2025 Chinese Queer Theology Online Workshop
Hosted by Queer Theology Academy (QTA)|August 14–30, 2025
We are excited to announce that the Queer Theology Academy (QTA) will be hosting the 2025 Queer Theology Online Workshop (in Chinese) this August — a unique opportunity for Chinese-speaking Christians around the world to engage in advanced queer theological reflection and dialogue.
Since 2014, QTA has been at the forefront of developing queer theology resources and education in the Chinese language, having successfully organized workshops in 2014, 2019, 2022, and 2024. This year’s workshop is designed for those who have previously participated in an introductory course or who already have a foundational understanding of queer theology.
Over the course of two weeks, we will gather leading Chinese-speaking theologians and pastors from across the globe to offer in-depth lectures on topics such as:
-
Reading the Bible through a Queer Lens
-
Feminism and Queer Theologies
-
Sexual and Gender Minorities in Church History
-
Sexual Ethics: The Tension between Sexual Violence and Sexual Rights
-
Populism, DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion), and Christian Values
-
Interfaith Dialogue: From Spirituality and Self-Care to Justice and Peace
- Wrestling with Faith from the Perspectives of Non-Binary Community
Each session will conclude with a live Q&A segment, and the workshop will culminate in a special extended dialogue with the instructors — a space for deeper discussion, reflection, and spiritual growth.
